• Thank you Wax On! I'm so excited I found you. What a positive experience through and through. My friends recommended me to Wax On and boy am I glad I got the nerve to go through with it! Kristan Garrett was my waxer. All I have to say is SHE ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so nervous and shy, but I knew as soon as she came in the room I was going to be fine. We talked the whole time and in 10 minutes I was done!! Wow... she didn't seem to be rushing; she just knows what she’s doing. It sounds crazy but I can't wait for my 5 week follow up Brazilian because there’s nothing to be scared of!! The staff was great, there were good tune and booze to help.
• I have been looking for THE best wax for a couple of years and although a few have come close no-one has prompted me to write a review until now. Fast, clean, professional yet friendly. I am a bit of a wimpy waxer but this wax was so good it hurt significantly less than anything I have had before. You won't need the lidocaine. The first time costs a bit more but they give you a discount if you return within a certain time frame. It is worth every penny.
• I've been looking for a place like this for a while now... and have finally found it. Great, relaxing atmosphere, friendly staff that will make you comfortable right away. If you're feeling too stressed out, and this is your first time, there will be a little something special for you, to help you relax. Great choice of product. Love the "shea butter", so rich, a little scoop will last you for a long time.
• i've been getting waxed for a long time and i've never had one regular esthetcian to see, because i hadn't found the right person...until now! keely was so sweet, gentle and talk about fast! lightening fast with very little discomfort! it's the best waxing experience i've ever had...keely is truely the greatest.
• These guys do an excellent job waxing. I got a brazillian wax done here multiple times and it was as close to painless as I could imagine it being. The staff are all super friendly and make you feel really comfortable, even though you are laying on a bed with no pants on! I was kept laughing the entire time and before I knew it, it was done! They do such a great job!
• I've been going to Wax On regularly for the last 9 months for my eye brows. I have pale, sensitive skin that turns red easily. So, I left the other places I'd gone beet red around the eyes. But, the wax they use at Wax On is much more gentle, and I leave with just some slight pinkness. Also, all the girls are great. They always take the time to make sure my brows look perfect before they send me out the door.
• As someone who is new to the Portland area, I was very tentative about going to get my waxing done; thankfully, Wax on Spa (Jevon specifically) put my fears at ease from the moment I walked in to their facility. I had a brazilian done this morning as well as my eyebrows and lip. I had not had a brazilian done in a VERY long time, but Jevon made the process as painless as possible. Also, the amount of time it took her to do it from start to finish was unbelievable...she was extremely fast, yet detailed, careful and gentle too. Lastly, I went in there with eyebrows that were a nightmare--they had been previously waxed by someone who had done an awful job; needless to say, I was in the "growing them out" stage. Jevon made my eyes look, by far, THE BEST they have ever looked. They are perfectly shaped and very symetrical. Although there is still some growing out left to do, you would never know, as Jevon made them look perfect! Overall, a wonderful, wonderful experience. I would highly recommend this place to absolutely anyone!
• This is the place to get waxing services! Kristan is really thorough, quick, and distracts you from the pain (it's most painful the first time and less painful on subsequent visits). Plus, she's really fun and gets to know you, creating a comfortable environment. I've referred two of my friends to her and they love her too! Parking available in front of storefront before 4PM weekdays otherwise street parking nearby. The rooms are not totally private (canvas & grommet suspended from high ceilings) but it's not uncomfortable at all. The hip, modern atmosphere and clientele are very relaxed, friendly (not intimidating).
• Kristan is skilled, fast, thorough, and fun. I left feeling smooth (not sticky!) and smelling good thanks to the shea butter. After finding her, I plan to be a regular customer.
• My friend told me to go to Wax on and see Kristan. Boy am I glad I finally got up the nerve! The moment I walked into Wax on I was put at ease. Friendly faces greet you at the door and whiskey and wine to calm the nerves. Kristan made me feel so comfortable and I think I laughed through the whole thing. I was in and out in twenty minutes flat!
• Brazilians can be awkward and extremely painful but Jevon makes things as easygoing and pleasant as possible! She goes out of her way to make you feel comfortable and works quickly with impressive results. I absolutely recommend going to Jevon at Wax On for all your waxing needs!
• Go directly to Wax On if you want the best wax in town! You'll be amazed at how fast, efficient and practically painless your bikini wax is! I've tried the rest and this is the best!
• Seriously, Kristan is the best. I have introduced out of town friends who drive up here just to see her. And once you go to her, you can never go anywhere else. Fast, thorough, and talks you through it so before you know it, it's over. Very clean and free booze to loosen you up before you begin.
• I had an extended bikini wax by Jevon. She made it fun and did an all around impeccable job. This place lives up to the excellent reviews...I’m dumping my old waxing spot!
• Thank you Wax On! Finally someplace willing to do male Brazilians. Most other places act like you're some kind of sicko if you even ask.
• I read the reviews and figured why not I'm going on vacation to Mexico for a week. I didn't want to deal with shaving. I had never had a Brazilian wax. Kristin was Awesome. She talked me through the whole process and made me feel comfortable. I was late and showed up 15 minutes before they closed. she still waxed me. I was sure to let her know how much I really appreciated it. I highly recommend them. I wouldn't recommend anyone else for waxing. If you go there you won't be disappointed.
• I'm from Seattle and have been trusting WAX ON on capitol hill with my Brazilian for the past two years. SO, when i moved to Portland i would travel to Seattle just to get waxed! (They are that good) BUT NOW I DON'T HAVE TO--WAX ON CAME TO PORTLAND! They are soooooooo good. Girls-if you have been considering a Brazilian-think no longer. This is the place. They are so friendly and completely get your mind off of what’s going on. Its a hip spa, and I can always find a parking spot on the street outside. It's totally worth it! so... GO NOW! you won’t regret it.
• I recently moved to Portland and was extremely scared to try a new waxing place. I read the reviews on here, and decided to give it a try. Let me tell you....THIS PLACE ROCKS! Jevon was an absolute doll. She was so nice and funny that I barely noticed the pain of the Brazilian. She kept me talking the whole time which really kept me distracted. At the end of it, she handed me some of their body butter and warm towel to clean up. I was in and out in no time flat. I am so happy to have found a new waxing place to call home!
• I've been waxed by a few different people and Jevon is just the best. I travel from Eugene to Portland on a regular basis to get the job done right. Waxing isn't the best feeling thing in the world, but her quick technique makes it that much easier. I'd recommend her to anyone from eyebrows to a Brazilian...she's good at it all!!!!!!
• How they make something so uncomfortable comfortable is beyond me. Kristan is so good at what she does and always congratulates you on a job well done for making through, which somehow helps, and makes me smile. I love this place, they are so courteous and good at what they do and Kristan always remembers me and calls me a day ahead to remind me of appointments, she is even very helpful when I have forgotten and need to reschedule!
• Really like that this isn't some powder puff shop. Sure, there are the girlish elements but in that really great, modern, bad girl kind of way. Thank goodness for the lack of nature sounds and spa teas. Just wanted a place to do the job and be friendly about it. Thanks for coming to Portland, we needed it!!
