about wax on spa

The History of the Seattle Brazilian

Wax on spa was started nine years ago by Anne Uhlir, a veteran of the waxing business with twelve years of experience behind her. Combining style with hip esthetic, and five of the business’ most qualified estheticians, the wax on doors were opened to the public on April 6, 1999.

On approach the window of the spa reads “Home of the Brazilian: Waxing, Beauty, Serenity”, but that’s not all the spa offers. Along with services that range from as little as a brow wax to a men’s full body wax, the spa offers a menagerie of facials, products such as, Decleor, Yves Roche, PFB Vanish, No Scream Cream, OPI and Zoya polishes and Wax On’s own private label.

Wax On Spa prides themselves on their customer service and thoroughness. Their specialty is the Brazilian. Starting with a blank canvas, these talented estheticians can deliver the goods, specializing in coloring and shaping. A normal bikini line can be easily transformed into a blonde heart, a purple star or a contemporary martini glass with the blink of an eye.

For the less adventurous, Wax On offers the Standard Bikini and can even extend it for a more modern and polished look. We welcome parties (be them bachelorette or bachelor) but as always folks, B.Y.O.B. Welcome to the spa!!!

Awards and Recognition

Citysearch Seattle says this about Wax On Spa:

"There's nothing staid or ordinary about this spa, which caters to a self-empowered, self-possessed clientele of cute girls--and a fair number of gay and straight boys who care about managing the amount of hair on their bodis. Slogans like "What are you bitches looking at?" are on the sexy T-shirts and undies for sale that hang on the walls. Wax On's women are all about girl power, a saucy attitude and looking good."

Wax On Spa has been written about in Cosmo, Allure, Seattle Magazine, and The Stranger.
